About Me

My name is Eduard Prezer. I am born in 1987 in Ukraine and have been living in Ulm since 1997.

Since about 2002 I have been working privately as well as academically with electronics and information technology. In 2012 I finished my studies in technical computer science with the final thesis "Methods for interpolation of sensor data from single-chip color cameras with Bayer Pattern".

After my studies I worked about 4 years for an IT system house as an IT consultant and experienced various techniques from the most different areas of information technology.

After that I was employed for about five years at a mechanical engineering company as a C/C++/Qt software developer.

Currently I am employed as a developer in the field of databases and Java at a well-known and widespread trading company.

Hobbies and interests

• Ambitious amateur photography. With analog and digital cameras from the Nikon-F and Fuji-X system (APS-C). My favorite subjects are still life, landscapes and macro motifs. A selection is available on Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/25418568@N03/

• Electronics/computer science projects with Raspberry and other (mostly ARM based) microcomputers.
• Care and maintenance of a youngtimer motorcycle. A Honda NTV 650 from the year 1990. And of course also trips with this motorcycle.
• Implementation and operation of a high-performance home server with ZFS file system.
• Do-it-yourself and so-called IKEA hacks (http://www.ikeahackers.net/). Among others, this hobby resulted in a self-designed and assembled fitted kitchen as well as various other modified pieces of furniture.
